An IPO for Medplus, the second largest pharmacy retailer in India offering a wide range of products, including pharmaceutical & wellness products and fast-moving consumer goods.
The offer comprised of a fresh issue of Rs. 6,000 million and an offer for sale, upwards of Rs. 7,980 million.
The IPO received stellar response from investors across the board despite volatile equity capital markets with the QIB book getting subscribed over 111.9x.
As the left lead banker, Axis Capital handheld the company throughout the IPO process to ensure a smooth and successful closure. Extensively marketing Medplus across the investor spectrum, the anchor book procurement was dominated with more than 32% share in a 4 bank syndicate. Strong retail distribution network ensured that HNI/Retail book received healthy subscription despite multiple IPOs tapping the market at the time.
