The largest ever QIP by a non-BFSI company in India, the QIP saw participation by marquee sovereign, foreign and domestic investors participated with over 80% of the book allocated to long-only investors. A strong price tension was created post launch to ensure better price discovery.
Axis Capital, as left lead banker, handheld the company through various regulatory compliances and timelines to ensure one of the fastest closures in 35 days from date of board meeting. The deal was launched with a floor price of INR 435 while eventually pricing at INR 445 (1.6% discount to SEBI floor). This was one of the tightest pricing in recent QIPs.
Converting key cornerstone investors, providing momentum to the transaction, leading to overwhelming oversubscription, Axis Capital enabled addition of new investors in the company while ensuring demand from almost all existing investors. Procured 33% in a 8 bank syndicate with over 90% of our procurement from long-only investors, highest amongst the banks.
