Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading global telecommunications company withoperations in 18 countries across Asia and Africa, raised over Rs. 210,000 million in Rights Issue.
The issue was attractively priced and partly paid shares were issued keeping in mind the requirement of funds for the issuer and to ensure wide-spread participation as well as price traction of the listed shares.
Axis Capital successfully closed 3 ECM transactions as the left lead banker for the Bharti Group in a period of 30 months. Spearheading the transaction, efficiently managing regulatory processes, Axis Capital advised on the deal launch timeline in addition to providing guidance for subscription and managing post issue processes.
The combined network of Axis Capital and Axis Bank were leveraged to market the deal and enable investor participation. Witnessing tremendous participation from investors across all categories, the issue was oversubscribed 1.44x.
